Hey Hackers! I’m Sergei Khitrov and I’m Founder and CEO of Blockchain Life Forum and Listing.Help Agency.
First of all, a huge thank you to the gzht888.community and staff for nominating me for a 2021 Noonies award! I’ve been nominated in the following categories please do check out these award pages and vote:
As a someone in the blockchain industry, I really believe that the most exciting technologies of the present are DeFi and NFT. Learn more about my thoughts and opinions on these two technologies and my journey in the tech industry via the interview below.
1. What do you do and why do you do it? (tell us your story)
I’m the Founder and CEO of Blockchain Life Forum, Listing.Help Agency and Jets Capital Fund.
At Listing.Help we deal with adding projects to cryptocurrency exchanges. For the last four years, we have been the world leaders in this field. Today we have already listed more than 700 projects and work with 100+ exchanges.
Also, I’m the Founder and CEO of Blockchain Life forum, which we have already held seven times in Russia and Singapore. And we regularly gather around 6000 participants.
The core competency of Jets Capital fund is to invest in early-stage projects; moreover, we are one of the largest liquidity providers in the farming market.
2. Tell us more about the things you create / write / manage / build!
My group of companies assists the development of crypto projects from scratch. Of course, the main focus of activity is listing and all the types of interactions with exchanges. But if the project has other necessities, we can connect with well-proven companies.
3. How did you end up on your current career path? Do you like it?
All my life long, I have been engaged in advertising (since the age of 12). And I was always catching bigger fish. Also, people around me began to discuss cryptocurrencies a lot. So I turned my attention to this sphere and bought my first bitcoins. I scrutinized this sphere and realized that I wanted to devote the next 10-15 years of my life to it because I recognized that this is the most promising sphere for the next decades.Do I like it? I can say that I am very excited about every working day after I changed the sphere of affiliate marketing to crypto and blockchain.
4. What tech are you most excited or passionate about right now and why?
I'm absolutely excited about the ideas and techniques of decentralization. I think this is a mighty revolution in the world of finance. I also really like projects like Compound. You can build a credit system without intermediaries, borrow some other stablecoins against bitcoins, and do that without paper and problems on smartcontracts. I think it will change the financial system. So, as you can see, I really love DeFi projects.
5. What tech are you most worried about right now and why?
Right now, I'm really worried about Artificial Intelligence - AI. I know that this fear is only a matter of control, as AI systems are becoming more intelligent, and one day it can be so intelligent that we wouldn't be capable of controlling it.
6. If we gave you 10 million dollars to invest in something today, what would you invest in and why?
I would rather divide this sum into four pieces:
- 35% Bitcoin;
- 10% Ethereum;
- 35% into Yield farming;
- 15% for new projects at early stages because I think Bitcoin won't make 100x in the next five years. But there are relatively new projects on the market, for example, Polygon, Solana, Avalanche, that showed crazy growth. If you find projects like these in the early stages, you can significantly increase the capital.
7. What are you currently learning?
I study everything relevant to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology as it's become a huge market itself. Recently, I liked the football tokens story so much when Barcelona, PSG, Juventus started to issue fan tokens. And, of course, I am really into NFTs. It would be a great day for me to buy a cryptopunk! So, I look for opportunities to increase capital and different cryptocurrency niches where traditional and crypto businesses are connected.
8. What’s the best advice you’ve ever given someone?
If we talk about crypto, I think it is about Bitcoin. I remember when bitcoin was worth $2,000-$4,000 in 2017, I was actively advising my friends to buy it. The same stories were with BNB and Chiliz. My friends are very thankful to me for these recommendations.
If we take other advice, I think it's about changing their spheres to crypto, and not just to buy some cryptocurrencies but about creating services and solutions to develop this industry for the better.
9. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Buy Bitcoin
These two simple words changed my life. Ultimately, this advice made me change my work sphere to crypto and changed my life so much. I'm so grateful to all the people who told me to do it back in 2016.
