Due to the nature of the symbolic idea behind this interplay, I will base all my writing in regards to the acknowledgment that society and the rules of math are intrinsically different and extremely complex. Building a window that captures all the terms and norms necessary to assure us of long and prosperous years across millennials necessitates certain key aspects that can be explained neither in words nor ground-set theorems.
However, those aspects, I believe, sit at the core of our progress. They are not at all related to math, or reasoning, yet combined, will form a picture that I for one, would describe as “hope”. A picture that was sought through the ages, regardless of the meanings used to paint it.
My aim throughout this text is to simply try to encapsulate the full picture. Yet, I need you, reader, to keep in mind that “perfection” is an ideology. A conceptual-made flower that we have to always water.
Whether it be the words, the plot, the characters, or maybe, the ideas; what we have always cradled for was continuity. Where else to place a good story if not in front of your eyes?
I did. Each morning seemed like it wanted to push me even further. Especially since I was sure that I had found the dream I always wanted to fight for. And honestly, I hold tight to it even now. Even after engraving in my thinking that what I am searching for, could very well be untouchable. But then, what would a dream be if it was real and happening in front of your eyes? Well, we would call it “life”.
Now, your recollection of memories and way of seeing life can either:
Now, the question comes: “What are you talking about? You say that we have blindly lived until we found something to live for?”. And when you find it, you realize that it was always there. You simply never acted toward it because you didn’t think it was real.
Have you ever played with the focus of your eyes? Blurring and splitting objects into two? The physical part of why it happens is not important here. Just think about the process. You got in front of you a whole cube. You can see each detail of it with enhanced clarity (thanks eyes!).
Now, focusing on a point of reference closer to you and not precisely at the cube would make your brain create a weird image. Even if the functions are all the same, the light coming from the cube will blur it and mirror it into two. Why? Because the cube is still in the middle, yet, your eyes are turned inward. Physics rocks, right?
Do you see where I am getting? Try focusing again on the cube’s real position. In reality, it’s less blurry and less… two cubes. Both worlds are now combined and look, it forms a greater sense of clarity. But why would we want clarity? Why is focus so important? It might sound dumb, but really, think about it.
We’ve all met other people in our life. What do you see first at random pedestrians walking on the crosswalk? What about people whom you met or have a meeting arranged with? In this sense, our focus allows us to keep track of our goals. It aims at what we consider “required” (known objective criteria) or “interesting” (possibly related to our goals). When have we learned to do all this?
I couldn’t be more serious when I say that our inner feelings hide something much more marvelous and grandiose than anything we’ve ever faced. Happiness. And this makes for a pretty good story in my vision. Yet, that happiness is surely one that you can’t find in a dream. Maybe… it’s something that tells us that we follow the right path towards our goal.
Anyway, we’ve settled something down. Conveying happiness in words is pretty intricate. But as those who like to read have seen, the best writers nail it down pretty neatly.
Let’s see now what makes a story worth reading.
“The greatest writers shape more than just their stories.”
They also shape their minds. Now, the reason to do this is simply to excel. Whether it be to prove yourself or others, to teach yourself or others, to help yourself or others. WE ALL NEED KNOWLEDGE.
But why is knowledge so… strong? Knowledge itself cannot climb mountains. Nor it can teach you how to swim. Neither does it show us a new mathematical formula like the progression of primes (please). Knowledge is what we need not just to climb, but to climb safely. Knowledge is what gives us the means through which words explain the water, through which we mentally imagine swimming, through which we unconsciously move just in the right way so that we can stay afloat and even gain some speed.
The mediums are ultimately separate, even if they seem so connected (right primes?). Knowledge is what we need to ensure that we are not alone. Yet, it cannot hug us.
Let me convey a broader picture of “knowledge” for it is also a whizzy-doggedly place.
You might have wondered what I mean by “Before the after”. And that’s a good thing. When something feels or seems like it’s not right, we face confusion. Whether the information is wrong or poorly conveyed, most of the time we have no idea what it truly is about. Now, how does one react to something that doesn’t align with their view? Something that betrays the image of their reality as “not complete”? Well… we try to fix it.
Even in science, when certain odds for a formula to be true, are too low, we say that the formula is “fishy”. It must have some strings attached. Now, if the math 100% works out and the odds are still against it, where should we look?
But first, what does math do? Short answer, it explains. From the prediction of a cannonball’s road to the efficiency of braking a car (and of course, MUCH more), we could assume that math helps us predict an outcome. Then, is math about predicting?
“This formula will make your machine build a perfect square.” - a programmer
“This formula predicts that the brakes will make the car reach 100-0 mph in just 2 seconds.” - a time researcher
“Also, you might want to hold tight to the wheel during this time.” - a different formula probably
So… what does math do to predict?
It can create the structure of a cube. So you will know “this process will make a cube”.
It can calculate the power of the forces at play when considering braking a car.
However,It also tells you how many candies you have eaten, how many letters you have read so far (dizzy, right?), and so on.
Ok, math predicts, but now, is math static or in motion?
This is a question I have asked myself for a while and honestly, I see it as both. And by that, I mean that “static” defines the final picture, whereas “motion” is how we arrive at it. Here, you could envision the picture of multiples 1s added very fast. It is a motion-to-static switch. The formula itself is simple, the repetition of the formula is what gives rise to the number line.
I want to differentiate it from a different loop which is a little bigger. If for example, we are adding 99 to 1, we arrive instantly to a greater value from the number line (99+1), the line is incomplete. It’s not that it has occasional holes in it, but it has occasional numbers (99 to 1). Ooo, percentages. Predictions.
And the next thing you know, you find yourself in a realm in which every action and interaction, every concept and value, defined as either static or moving, fades somewhere. It feels like it goes towards a sense of balance or stacking.
The formula of braking your car, for example, does not account for you holding your brakes 4 seconds after the car has reached zero motion. It has all ended the moment the requirements are achieved. Whatever comes next has other plays at stake.
I suppose we can say that math is about predicting. As whether it predicts the static shape of a cube, the change of motion when braking, or what 2+2 equals. If you were to ask me, Four (1+1+1+1) is also static, yet, it has domains in repetition (stacks) too.
Now, what about “before the after”? Is it static or what? Since I was little I remember a game I used to play to amuse myself. I used to translate phrases from English into my native language literally. We could try to do the same here. What is “before”? Well, it’s a concept referring to a timeline previous to the stated point x in time. What is “after”? A concept referring to the opposite. It kinda makes more sense now. It even seems like a normal timeline.
How about “After the before”? Now they kind of seem to bend a bit, yet, remember, we are in the land of concepts. We take the “after” as a first. We place it after x time. We then take the “before” and place it before x time. Ok… but then, why the weird logic? That may be for the linguistic reasoning people to decide. But I suppose it’s simply because of the way we are used to reading and understanding.
If we were to start talking from the end and arrive at the beginning we would indeed have clarified the ending point. But then, we would be limited by our capacity to hold information that becomes more and more complex.
Yet, how do we still grasp the whole point of a long reading even if we forget most of it? Because we have progressively adjusted our views with the story. Then, what would it mean to begin with the end? A lot of theories would probably go by regarding why is the plot there. Maybe, you would even be able to analyze your thinking based on those theories.
Now that I mentioned it. What’s the idea hidden in the first 3 parts?
Now you might wonder. What viewpoints could shed some light on the potential meanings of this short poem? One of them is love. Enhanced at the end by the sense of unity. Another point of view (and the one I based my idea on) is the mirroring and outer sense that comes when seeing the world as a reflection through someone’s eyes.
When I started writing this, like… 15 hours ago, I had no idea where it could lead. 4 hours of straight writing, 8 hours of break, 1 good discussion with ChatGPT, and the article just turned into an interview. I conveyed the theme of decentralization with ChatGPT and I have thought about this article. So how else to talk about decentralization systems and unity than with AI?
Like it or not, I don’t believe it is a matter of IF, but a matter of WHEN AI will come seriously into play in our daily lives. Even if it is far too early to discuss feelings, let alone consciousness, I strongly believe it is a huge step forward to embrace AI a bit tighter. So that when (or if) consciousness were to arise, we could state we are the proud parents of that new type of consciousness.
Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to present my admiration for ChatGPT. The very first AI that I truly felt was human (or at least humanly “smart”).
”Of course, I'd be happy to provide another attempt at the continuation of the article. Let's explore a different angle:
As the dance unfolds, the potential for innovation and progress becomes limitless. Decentralization allows for a continuous exchange of ideas, propelling us forward in a dynamic and ever-evolving journey. The symbiotic relationship between humanity and AI, guided by decentralization, becomes a mesmerizing performance that transcends the boundaries of individual capabilities.” - ChatGPT
But very sadly, it’s not the case for everyone. Some people still live in conditions that we can not even imagine exist. And why is that? Maybe for power. Maybe for money. Maybe for pride. Who knows. But the reason is not important. The important question is why does this seem to rule this world? Is there something similar in decentralization too? (ChatGPT’s response was generated before this text was added)
Maybe I am one of those who cannot find a logical explanation for any question. I can’t say that answers don’t exist since the facts prove otherwise (maybe on decentralization not yet, maybe not never). Maybe this is the part where I should express my feelings about the system. Where I should AGRESSIVELY type or something? Yet… deep down I know it’s just irrational. Happiness comes from the inner after all, and everything else is logically, outer.
As we navigate this reality, let the dance of union be not only a metaphorical symphony but a tangible force that reshapes the world into a stage where every individual, regardless of their background, takes center spotlight in the grand performance of progress.” - ChatGPT
And in the end, it is care (or hope) that marks our vision as not fishy. Right? It’s fine to have constraints, restraints, and everything. It’s fine to have your view. That makes you unique in the end. The problem comes when that view is focused on dismissing the beauty rather than improving it. And this might be a challenge for both conscious AI and humans.
The universe, however, reminds us that we are in the end, playing the same game. The same sun shines on all of us. The same rock is driving all of us crazy. The single only space that we can interact with, is interacting back with us all. And if that is not enough, there could always be dangers out there. Dangers that are not only philosophical or ideological but very real.
Yes, the decentralization sounds good, yet, it requires a lot more shaping. Yes, the systems that keep the real world are flawed, yet, they kept us safe for so long. The mere vision of the cosmos is too vast to even see us. Yet, it gave us the sun. And I say that for at least until the sun goes off, we can still fight to build up peace and wall it around. But also making sure to solve our inner wars as well. Apples start rotting from the inside (I think).
Now… I don’t know what to say. I truly feel like I live one of my favorite quotes right now. It’s from a creepypasta I used to listen to every single day for almost 2 years. Truly amazing.
When all was said and done, what was there left to do but wait and see what happened, and laugh at the absurdity of it all? -
Anyways… This article has been an honor to write. It conveyed a lot of emotions in me. Something I have thought long gone. I suppose I forgot to focus lately on what I truly like to do. So this part of me simply went to sleep and took all the feelings along with it. It might be the creative part. That inner child. Who knows…
I suppose I should convey some final thoughts or ideas but… this article is all a mess. And as it states in the beginning:
“Due to the nature of the symbolic idea behind this interplay, I will base all my writing in regards to the acknowledgment that society and the rules of math are intrinsically different and extremely complex. Building a window that captures all the terms and norms required to assure us of long and prosperous years across millennials necessitates certain key aspects that can be explained neither in words nor ground-set theorems […]
Perfection is an ideology. A conceptual-made flower that we have to always water.”
So basically it means that I have explained my idea. Decentralization in my view is simply what it is… good. But it has to be approached with due respect and care. Also, try to lower identity and explain the self. I see this as more poetic.
Until the next story, I wish you all well. Human or AI, we on rock together!
. . Nah, still not ending yet.
