So let’s start! Tell us a bit about yourself. For example, name, profession, and personal interests.

Ismail Tlemcani, a software developer from Morocco. I am passionate about coding, music, and reading books.

Interesting! What was your latest Hackernoon Top story about?

It was a summary of the famous book “Clean Code” by Robert Martin on how to write a clean and understandable code.

Do you usually write on similar topics? If not, what do you usually write about?

The topics I usually write about are generally related to web programming and it is usually related to what I am working on or learning at that moment.

Great! What is your usual writing routine like (if you have one?)

I am usually in some nice coffee shop whenever I am in the mood of brainstorming ideas for some new article. Besides that, I don’t have any particular writing routine.

Being a writer in tech can be a challenge. It’s not often our main role, but an addition to another one. What is the biggest challenge you have when it comes to writing?

My biggest challenge is explaining the technical concepts I am writing about in the most simple term possible so that every reader can understand what I want to say, no matter his/her experience.

What is the next thing you hope to achieve in your career?

Continue to grow as a software developer and give back to communities as much as possible is the only thing I think of at this moment. In the long term, starting and maintaining a successful opensource project is an aspiration that I hope I’ll have the chance to realize.

Wow, that’s admirable. Now, something more casual: What is your guilty pleasure of choice?

Singing in the street. The weird looks that I sometimes get from people are what doubles my pleasure.

Do you have a non-tech-related hobby? If yes, what is it?

I love reading. I find reading the ideas of brilliant minds no matter their area of knowledge is the most interesting thing I can do whenever I have some free time. I also love to run and swim to keep myself fit.

What can the Hacker Noon community expect to read from you next?

The Hacker Noon community can expect some more articles related to web programming in general, and about technologies related to Javascript and Typescript in particular.

Secondly, in our hyper digitalized world, there is a strong need of having more specialized people engaging in simplifying the technical details of the different industries related to technology by writing simple articles or books or by using any other accessible way to the general public. I hope that more people and especially developers around the world will join us in this journey so that more people can understand or at least have knowledge of the technological tools they use every day.
