This story is a part of Hacker Noon's Meet the Writer series of interviews. The series is intended for tech professionals contributing the most insightful Hacker Noon stories to share more about their writing habits, ideas, and professional background (and maybe a hobby or two).

If you too would like to start contributing to Hacker Noon, you can do so here.

So let’s start! Tell us a bit about yourself. For example, name, profession, and personal interests.

I am Shrey Jain, a Chartered Accountant, and a Crypto Enthusiast. I have been in the finance space for a significant part of my career and have worked on auditing & project finance divisions in various industry sectors. Lately, I have grown quite fond of Blockchain technologies and have taken a keen interest in writing on different applications of Blockchain.

I do love reading, and you can call me a Dan Brown follower in Fiction. I also love reading Autobiographies of great personalities and learning more about their success and failures. I also love music and playing guitar is one of my favourite pass times.

Interesting! What was your latest Hackernoon Top story about?

My latest Hackernoon story was on the possible solutions to ETHs high gas fees and some altcoins that could be a game-changer in the future.

Do you usually write on similar topics? If not, what do you usually write about?

Yes, I often write about the latest developments in the Blockchain and Crypto space.

Great! What is your usual writing routine like (if you have one?)

Well, I usually love writing during the nighttime. Once I am back from work and have had dinner, I usually fall back to my bed with my iPad and try to give some quality time for writing. Though I won’t say, this is my routine. A lot depends on the frame of mind that I have on that particular day. If it’s good, I will probably write an article that might blow your mind. (Like the last one!)

Being a writer in tech can be a challenge. It’s not often our main role, but an addition to another one. What is the biggest challenge you have when it comes to writing?

The biggest challenge that I feel is to stay updated on the developments that are always happening. In tech, there are always fresh ideas from brilliant minds that are being published every day. If you are not aware of the developments, you won’t be able to write much.

What is the next thing you hope to achieve in your career?

Well, I would like to launch an NFT with some crazy artwork.

Wow, that’s admirable. Now, something more casual: What is your guilty pleasure of choice?

I would say, solo trips. I love travelling alone and cannot resist it. Yes, I Do! Reading Books and Playing Guitar.

What can the Hacker Noon community expect to read from you next?

Something related to On-Chain Analysis to get ahead in Crypto Markets.

Thanks for taking the time to join our “Meet the writer” series. It was a pleasure. Do you have any closing words?

Well, there is no alternative to Hard Work. Even behind Smart Work, a lot Of Hard Work has Already Been Done!
